Jump Rope For Heart/Hoops For Heart is an event put on by the American Heart Association. Students raise money to help others who are battling heart disease. Jump Rope For Heart/Hoops For Heart teaches students about the importance of exercise and living a healthy life. Today, about 16% of all children and teenagers in the United States are overweight. The American Heart Association promotes quality physical education and health education in schools.Â
