SimCity Final Project
The SimCity final project consists of creating a city and analyzing the city’s growth. You will also create your own SPREADSHEET and graph to help you analyze your city. You will answer any three of the questions below summarizing your experience with SimCity. Remember do not spend all your money at once. There will be no CHEATS. Cheats will make you forfeit points on your grade. You will also complete a graph for your city. Your goal will be to maintain a city for over one hundred years with at least 25,000 residents.

The graph should continue on as long as you continue. You should mark for your graph once every ten years.
-
Place your city on no disasters
-
Build your city any way you want. Remember things cost money to keep running. Sims don’t like long commutes, and you must always have power.
-
Using the information from your spreadsheet you will need to create a graph for the population.
-
Complete 2 of the following. You must do one of the first three. Each answer should be a paragraph.
-
Discuss laws, ordinances and the tax rate you implemented in your city and why? What was your tax rate? How did the tax rate affect your cities’ growth? If you were unable to maintain a city of a population of 25000 for 100 years, what financial problems did you face? How could you fix it.
-
Look at the graph results and explain one problem in your city based on your spreadsheet and how you could or would be able to fix it in the game. If this were a problem in a real city how would you fix it?
-
What innovation or invention made after the year 1940 was most important to your cities growth? What invention or innovation created after 1940 has been the most important to the real world? Why?
-
What were the best parts of your city and what were the worst parts of your city? And why? If you could redo your city what are three things you would you do differently? why?
-
Write a paragraph on Geography. How and why did you edit your map? How important is location to an actual cities growth? What would the perfect geographic surrounding be for a city today? And why?
