Google Earth Treasure Map

Step one. You are to find ten places on the earth and make 3 clues for each location.  The places could be buildings, cities, towns, and historical markers.  Write the locations and the clues on a word document.

Step two- Make ten markers for these places on google earth.  Each marker should include the clues for the next marker.  No fancy designs for the markers.  They must blend in.  In your final location place a picture of a treasure chest.  Don’t use the clues for your starting spot.  You will email this to other students at a later time. 

Step three- Make ten more fake markers.  In each fake marker place the words “Dead End Try Again”

Step four- Save your google earth often.  Listen to Mr. C when I teach you how to save on google earth. 

Step six- When you are complete with the 20 markers turn tell Mr. C so I can post all the files in one large google earth file. 

Step five- We will post our first clue on a my big campus discussion and search for the hidden treasures.
