Each group of students will prepare an argument for their political party on the following issues. It will be made as modern day political ad for either Thomas Jefferson or Alexander Hamilton.
- Whiskey Rebellion
- Jay's Treaty
- Alien & Sedition Acts
- French Revolution
- XYZ Affair
- The Bank of the US
- British Impressments of Sailors
- Revolutionary War Debt and Repayments
In your argument you should have the following:
- Information supporting your sides part of the argument.
- A second paragraph explaining what your party point of view on the situation, and information persuading the class on your parties point of view.
- It should be written as if you were living back then and a member of one or the other political parties.
- You may split up the work with your partner or work together.
