I graduated from the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point in 1995. After graduating from Stevens Point I was a substitute teacher for 3 years with Richfield being one of the schools I was a substitute teacher for. I have been teaching full time at Richfield School since 1998. In 2002 I earned my masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction.
Last year was my first year teaching all science to 6th, 7th and 8th grade. I loved the new and exciting lessons I was able to do with my students and I look forward to teaching science again this year. Last year my classes started a classroom garden which was very successful and we will be able to plant right away in September. We also had the learning experience of disecting a frog and this is a lesson that will be continued year to year with my 7th grade students. Besides teaching Science I will also guide the 8th grade students in creating the yearbook.
On a more personal note...I have been married to Dan since 2000. We have an active 9 year-old son named Derek, who loves playing baseball. He is in 3rd grade this year at Richfield. We also have a 5 year old son named Jack who attends 5K at Plat. This past summer he really enjoyed playing his t-ball. They are awesome kids who keep us very busy since they are extremely active boys! Below are some links you can click on of the fun pictures from my Science classes as well as my family!
