Welcome to Kindergarten!

       This is a year for new beginnings, for making friends and for learning lots of new things each and every day!  Our class has an awesome time learning about things in language arts, math, theme and special classes to name a few.  Thanks for sharing your children with me this year!

This is my sixteenth year teaching and ten of those years have been spent teaching full-day, 5 year old kindergarten at Plat School for the Richfield Joint 1 School District.  Before being at Plat, I taught Kindergarten in Illinois as well as Second and Third grade in Wisconsin.  I earned my Undergraduate degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Marian College in Fond du Lac.  While in Illinois, I earned a Master's degree in Instructional Strategies from Rockford College. 

Over the years I have enjoyed getting to know the children at Plat as well as their families.  This past year I witnessed my first Kindergarten class graduate from 8th grade!  My own family consists of my husband and 2 children.  This summer we took advantage of many of the wonderful things in beautiful Wisconsin.  We went mini-golfing, swimming at Menomonee Park, attending the library programs, and even going to the Dells for a few days.
