Welcome Back!!!

Hello parents and students.  I am looking forward to a great year.  I know many of you already through your siblings, seeing you in the halls last year and being your participation in the summer program; I am very excited to have you in my class.  For those of you that I don't know as well, I hope to begin a great classroom relationship with a great year of new experiences and learning.  The information below will give you a better idea of who I am and why I love teaching and being apart of the Richfield Community.

My name is Mrs. Brezonick, although most of the students and parents call me Mrs. B.  I have been teaching since 1995.  I started teaching in MPS and then moved to Richfield in 2001.  At that time, I changed schools and had the opportunity to teach for 5 years at the Indian Community School in Milwaukee before the school moved to Franklin. I love working with students and helping them learn strategies to succeed in school and in the world around them.  I came to the Richfield School District 6 years ago and taught K4 for 2 years.  I then had the chance to become a full-time employee in the district and moved to the second grade position.  This is my fourth year in this position and have really enjoyed the experience.  This year will contain some changes to the second grade program with my new colleague Mrs. Adams and the plans that we have made for our schedules and collaboration.  I am also excited to use our classrooms new Epson interactive projector.  This projector will allow more active student interaction and will increase learning.

Some of you may also know me as the summer school director which I have been doing for the past 5 years.  We had another great program this summer and for those of you that had a chance to experience it, I hope you had fun and learned a lot.  I hope I will see you in the Richfield Days Parade.

I am very dedicated to my students, parents, the school district and the community.  If there is anything I can do to make this year a success for your child and your family, please don't hesitate to ask.

Outside of school I have a family.  We live in Richfield and we support the Richfield Community.  I have two children.  Jeffrey is going into 5th grade and Bailey is in second grade this year at Rockfield Elementary.  Also, this is my second year back in school.  I am attending Concordia for a masters in Curriculum and Instruction.  So, when I am not working with your children I am busy with my children, husband, housework and my homework .  I think this helps me understand both sides of the education process.

I hope this gives you a better understanding of my life and shows you the dedication I have of being a great teacher for your children.  Let's work together for a great year of learning.

                                                                                            Your Teacher,

                                                                                            Mrs. Brezonick
