Mrs. Adams’ 2nd Grade Web Page
Welcome parents of second graders. I am very excited to be a part of the Richfield School District. Everyone has made me feel very welcome. I come to you with a BA in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire and my Post Baccalaureate in Education from UWM. For the last eleven years I have taught with MPS, ten of those years I taught second grade. I love teaching second grade. I am looking forward to our year together. Things have gotten off to a terrific start. Thanks for all of your support.
Personal Statement:
I believe that each child is a unique individual who needs a secure, caring, and stimulating atmosphere in which to grow and mature emotionally, intellectually, physically and socially. It is my mission as an educator to help students meet their fullest potential in these areas by providing an environment that is safe, supports risk taking and invites a sharing of ideas.
When I am not teaching I love to be with my family and friends. My husband is a teacher also. Mr. Adams teaches 5K for MPS. We have two little girls. Layna is 5 nd the Ruby is 3. They keep us very busy. There is never a dull moment in the Adams' household.
